NOTICES OF PROPOSED RULES: (The date in parentheses is the date the rules were filed in the Legislative Research Council)

Department of Commerce and Regulation: Appraiser Certification Program: (January 8, 2001) intends to adopt rules to revise the definition of appraisal; require state-certified residential appraiser applicants to submit a small income producing property appraisal report; correct typographical error; and update references to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at 5:00 p.m. at the Cedar Shores Conference Center and Resort, 1500 Shoreline Drive (Interstate 90 and Oacoma), Oacoma, South Dakota. Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained from and written comments sent to the Department of Commerce and Regulation, Appraiser Certification Program, 118 West Capitol, Pierre, South Dakota 57501. Material sent by mail must reach the Department of Commerce and Regulation by February 6, 2001, to be considered. This hearing is being held in a physically accessible place. Persons who have special needs for which arrangements must be made are asked to call (605) 773-4608 at least forty-eight hours before the hearing.
